Default Compensator REplacement

I haven't taken it apart yet, but it's starting to look like my compensator is toast.

What are the "issues" with replacing it with a solid sprocket?

If I go with a new one, do I replace everything? And who makes one up to the task of a 96" stroker?

Seemed like it was harder on the chain life running a solid sprocket in the shovel than using a comp style. Went thru them fairly often even in a closed system.

I would go w/o OEM myself. The comp is there to cushion the drivetrain.

You might only need the spring.. going solid is rougher on the crank pin....

The last one I put in at about 90000 miles was a Baker and 16000 miles later it’s still running strong. I personally wouldn’t go to a solid compensator.

I've been running a $99 JP cycles comp on the 111 since '15, I only needed the spring cup and sprocket, whole thing was cheaper.
Just looked at order history, it was # 601-363, searched and it said number not found, figures.

Make sure the comp nut is not bottoming out.
