Default Officially Crazy

I asked in an earlier thread if I was crazy. It's official now. I sold my M8 Heritage and I just put a deposit on 1997 Road King. It has 30,000, one owner, miles. It has an EV27 cam and a rejetted carb. The paint looks new...always garaged. Picking it up tomorrow. Will post pics when I get it home.

You are going from a cookie cutter machine to a Motorcycle with a personality that you will develop a relationship with.

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought a1997 was fuel injected? I guess I am wrong. Could somebody tell what year they first came with fuel injection? Time for me to google...

Congrats on the new purchase, looking forward to pics

I believe FI was an option until around 2006.

I thought '96 was the first year for FI, except for the Ultra Classic in ’95. It was an option I believe. That would answer this question.

I wouldn't call that crazy. You got yourself a garage queen. It doesnt' get any better than a Road King.

You are the sane one when the majority of the world has gone nuts.

Besides normal fluid changes, flush out the brake system with fresh fluid. That is the one of the most neglected items on bikes.

What kind of exhaust does it have?
