The problem was from the day i swapped the cam. I put the cam with its own gear, did not swap gears. As far as timing, i marked the ignition in the cone and put it back at the same spot
Seems to point to a timing issue. Maybe try a very slight change of advancing then retard to see if there is any difference.

Let some of the other folks chime in but this is stuck in my head.
With all you have done and seemingly ck'd and re ck'd you might consider going back after cam.
If the gear was already installed on the cam maybe they missed it.
With the exception of 1 cam we have transferred the original gear to the new cam.
What few cams I have done and or helped with the mark on the pinion was troublesome to see and know it was just right.
Anytime you change a cam, the index mark you made on the timing sensor/nose cone will not be correct for proper ignition timing, 99% of the time.
About 1800 rpm is where the ignition module transitions from full advance to lower timing depending on the vacuum present at the VOES. If the hose is leaking, pinched or unhooked, or the wire was left un-hooked or the ground wire isn't contacting, the ignition module will "jump" from full to lower timing.
You must set ignition timing with a timing light, but I'd recommend you check out the VOES for proper operation before doing so.
T150vej beat me to it, You changed the CAM!!, you cant use your old timing mark that you made for your old ignition with the old cam, needs to be retimed
Ive benn searching for a timing light in vain...these things have disappeared here in crete... So i changed the timing by hand giving it some advance and guess what....problem solved!!!! No more buckin i will try sometime to time it the proper way, but till then im verry happy the way it rans now. Thanks everybody for the help!!!
