Many times with these kinds of questions you can go to DK or J&P, find an aftermarket exhaust that fits one of the models you listed then look at the fitment guide and see if the other model is listed. If the aftermarket exhaust lists both there's a very good chance that it will fit.
Correct. A header off of a 91 Springer “Softail” did not fit on my Fatboy.

As far as I know the only thunder header for a softail looks like this one.. Single pipe in the front not the 2 wrap around the nose cone pipes... I could be wrong but.......
