Default 85 FXRC data plate

Has anyone been able to get the stickers that go on the frame which includes the data plate. I called the dealer and they said they don't see an option.. I'm looking at having the frame on my 85 FXRC repowder coated and want to keep it original.

You can find "some" at eharleyparts.com Search under sheetmetal and paint / decals & emblems. That's the only option I know about. Good luck

Take the old ones off with a razor blade, very carefully. While not needed, they are a kind of legal thing. We bought the Sportster in Canada and US Customs would not let us over the border because we were one sticker short. The one in your bottom pic with the VIN that says it's in compliance. Except for the KPH speedo, the bike was identical to the US model, We were stuck at the border. HD UPS Red Labeled us a MPH speedo and that sticker with the VIN typed in and we were good to go, although quite begrudgingly by Customs. Finally the boss Customs man said "We've put them through enough, let them go." So, unless you come across a reproduction, the MoCo is going to be the only source and I doubt they sell them.

Thanks, found the emissions and tire pressure decals and bought them last night. Just need the Union made and VIN one to finish it out.

The previous owner of my recently purchased Evo routed a too short braided clutch cable across the VIN sticker and all but the first few characters are gone. This thread answered my question about trying to find a replacement I guess.

The sticker on my `89 sure wouldn`t be considered legal, it is missing a number, the vin is only 16 digits...
