Default FXD dreams

Off'd my 08 Ultra and side stepped into a 97 FXD. Have some carb issues to sort out, and a melted Iggy module in the cone. Mounted new tires yesterday, will either pull the carb for a solid cleaning (clogged idle/pilot circuit) or replace it.

She'll be a solid ride once sorted out, Fer sure.

I'm sure this will be so very true.

Brought her home yesterday. Long round trip, but worth it.

Started tearing it down today, removing chrome bolt on covers. Replaced the roached carb, and the iggy module as well. Found she's missing hardware, and will need some deeper cleaning. Full fluids and a tune-up too.

2 biggest things I would be concerned about are the lifters and the clutch.. Both about done..

Stripped off more kurachin stuff. Looks good in the garbage can. Carb is all set, ignition in ,wired and static timed. Peeled off the vh longshots, PO forgot to clamp the front pipe slip fitting.... Small surprises. With the side of the bike opened up got some cleaning done. Start prepping the Supertrapp to go on. Slipped on a different set of mirrors....

Nice to gave a project again.
