Default Ignition module

I have a 95 Heritage and my compufire ignition module went bad, question is if I buy the same one can I just switch it out as long as it is on the same setting and v groove is in the same location without putting the motor at top dead center?

Thanks for you help
Mike

You can also go with a dyna tech or Ultima, the instructions for static timing is simple.

Try something else Everyone seems to like the Dynatec200i.
They're all the same **** function wise, just the quality and durability are different.

The Dynatec 2ki makes both of my evo's fire up just as fast as any fuel injected bike no matter the temp.
I personally will never use anything else. JMO

See, this is what I’m saying.
THC, I’ve still got your S&S on the shelf sitting next to the Dynatec 2ki I bought just in case you’re right about the S&S.

The shelf is the best place for it

Compufire makes a pretty decent ignition module.. I've never had an issue with the single fire unit I had in my shovel.. The only draw back is it doesn't have selectable curves..
