Lifter Question
I've heard some say 50,000 miles but as far as I know, there is no recommended time to replace them.
If your bike is a daily rider, it probably isn't a bad idea to have at least a couple spares just in case one should take a **** though.

And, Get them from the guys that replace at 20,000
If the valve train ain't noisy, leave it alone...
Dan, I was told the 93 up lifters were good. It was the early ones.. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what I was told by Hillside.

If they are oem lifters made before around `96 or so, and you wait for a noise, it will be too late.
It is not the hydraulic part that causes the problem, it is the roller assembly, and when you hear that noise it is time to split the cases.

But OP, if it makes you feel better then replace them .. Myself I like S&S lifters..

Sadly with my hearing I don't hear a lot of things.

What are B lifters?
B Lifters are the most recent design for OEM Harley lifters, they came out around 1996 (I think), maybe someone here can be a bit more accurate.
B Lifters are what you will get if you buy new lifters from a dealership.
