Default 1992 Softail Speedometer

1992 through the mid 1990's Softail mechanical speedometers have the Cable Drive, a Ground Wire to the body, 2 Light Bulb Sockets, and then there is a wire coming out the back of the speedometer case. What is this wire for? What does it do?

White wire with green stripe? That's for the self cancelling signal lights.

Wow! Thanks! Yep that is the wire. I couldn't think of what it needed power for.
