Default Leaks - Transmission

So I previously (anotjer thread) had a transmission and other leaks that prompted me to replace gaskets and seals for the F and R cylinders, transmission cover, inner and outer primaries, jackshaft and transmission seals.

Leaking again like a sieve from the transmission. Not sure what I'm missing, but obviously something. The transmission reservoir was extremely low after my recent trip.

Thought/comments?

Main seal I removed seems OK. No gouges, rips or tears.

Did you replace the quad seal. That seals the inner input from the outside drive shaft.

Years ago, on bikes with chains, there wasn't one. Only thing that sealed them was the spacer faces.

Been a long time (probably 20+ years). But that's how I recall it. Either that or the needle bearing are gone on the input shaft if you think the main drive bearing is OK

Check to make sure the trans pulley hasn't come loose. That or you missed something in there.

When I did the transmission/primary seals on my bike, that Quad seal was hard to figure out. You may have missed it.

Quad seal can get twisted when installing. Did you install a new spacer or use the old one?

Exactly which transmission seals did you replace and is it leaking externally? Are you seeing the leakage anywhere?

After going through your previous post, I would suggest cleaning it up. Filling the transmission about 3/4 full of oil to get level way up on stick.

Put a light pressure on the vent tube.

You should spot the leak. Be sure to drop level in primary afterwards since that full with pressure is also going to push oil there also.
