any thoughts on the 1400 rev tek engines mine runs great but a hd mech said hes not a fan
I have heard of bad motors in the beginning and they were better later on. Seems like Ultima motors did better. Not sure about either of these but lots were sold and still running.
Used to get called wreck tec back in the day. Good affordable engines for choppers that weren’t going to be ridden. I remember horror stories about them failing a lot. Same with ultima. I’ve heard ultima has turned around now though

The 1974 stock Shovelhead here, has been rebuilt.. One, the right way.. prolly about 1997 or so.. it endured a Really Bad owner for Many Years, and Many, Many, Miles. Yup, she Tired.. but, I will be riding it to the Memorial for it's previous Owner tomorrow.. reliable...but, decidedly Tired!! I'm Good with that!
Personally...Tho I really dislike the current owner/operator..S&S is Far Superior Equipment...and...USA Made besides!!

rev tech engines are only cast over there they do all the assembly and machine work in San Jose ,Ca and virtually all the internals are US suppliers Kieth Black TRW ECT .
