slip-on ideas for Dyna
..bought a '97 DWG recently. Drag pipes (no baffle) on it were too loud, and I didn't like the low end performance. I put the stock pipes on...better, but no baffles inside the stock mufflers either. I'm still getting headache/earache on 1hr rides. I'm looking for something just a little bit louder than stock...I think. Even though I haven't tried it, stock mufflers with baffles isn't where I want to be because of performance.
I like a deep sound but I'm not going get loud to get it. I ride mostly at low rpm's. I don't want a headache, and I want to keep my neighbors as friends. The stock pipe configuration looks good to me, so I think I'm only after some low cost mufflers.
Insert opinion here.... thanks.

RE: slip-on ideas for Dyna
I found somebody local who had SE mufflers used and bought 'em for $100.00. Part number is 80531-07. I don't know what exactly they are, but we made them fit on and they are MUCH better on my ears. They mellow out while cruising but will get loud under hard acceleration. If the stock mufflers without baffles are a 10, and the stock mufflers with baffles are a 1, I'd guess these are about a 4. That seems to be about right for me. I'm guessing from the model number, and the 80db rating stamped on the bottom, that they are some of the newer models. Performance is just fine by me as well.
