EVO baggers
Found a really nice 98 Road King on ebay. Stock EVO, 24k.
Is 80" enough for 2up and gear? (Ya, I know that's all there was 10 years ago)
Post some opinions on Evo powered baggers, if you wish. Pics too.
Thanks

The 98 Roadking is a fine bike, of course I am a little biased. Really though it has plenty of power and the EVO will run forever. I love mine and have never lacked for power and it has never let me down. Besides it gets much better fuel mileage than the twinkies.
I've got a 98 Road king and love it. Plenty of power even with my hen on the back.
Just for fun and comparison, my Dad's 73 Electra Glide with 2 1/2 tons of chrome and my Stepmother on it has never lacked for power either.

That's what I was wondering. Thanks for the input.
My Evo WG keeps up to everyone I ride with.
Seems the older baggers are going for pretty reasonable prices.
And not hard to add some HP.
Hmmmm.

Never regreted buying mine and simple HP is available as mentioned. The 3.37 primary gear change is great for the big bike also, 97-98"s have the 3.0-something ratio.
Just stuffed a Avon 150 wide white wall under it and looks neat. Stroked, 3.37primary and 30 tooth trans pulley moves my donut eating azz and passenger quickly, so the sky (money) is the limit on the old Evo.
Attached my 2-up verson, I have a Hollywood Solo and remove the w-shield and run in single mode, adds about 25 HP

No problems fully loaded and riding two up. Either keeping up or passing traffic on my 1993 FLHS:

SE air cleaner assembly
SuperTrap Slipons
EV27 cam
Dyna ignition
Mild porting
'factory' electronic cruise Hack installed

I recently had the chance to ride a 96 Road King. WOW! Nice bagger! I own the Wideglide pictured below as well as an 05 Twinkie bagger. If I were to go out and buy a bagger today, I would probably get a great deal on an EVO powered bagger versus a Twin cam. Bang for the buck,I don't think you can go wrong with an EVO! Just drop a good bolt in cam and be done with it!
Hope this helps.
