Does anyone have an 84 to 90-something junk speedometer lying around?
I just need a "tenths" wheel for the odometer. Mine broke so I moved it to the left and it does work, but won't go past 4** cause that's where the ratchet tooth broke.
If anyone has one, send me a PM. I know this should be in the trades n freebies, but I know it'd get no results there.
t150vej,
I have been telling myself I'm going to try to fix this speedo someday.
It is an aftermarket Custom Chrome speedo/tach.
Does it look at all like it's what you need?

That's a good pic megawatt and now I'm embarassed... been 3 months since I was into it and don't remember "exactly" what the inside of the red wheel looked like. Do remember one of the wheels is different but I took it all apart and made it work.
I was going to take the dash off this weekend and clean the dust out and begging for a part came to mind. Let me get it off tomorrow and look again. Thanks MW
The framework that holds all the number wheels and gears is broken where it attaches to the speedo casing on the bottom and was vibrating making a weird noise...took me a while to find it.
This is one of the speedo/tachs they offered about 5 years ago.
I replaced it with their speedo/tach II model which superseded the broken one.
beemervet,
San Diego Speedo Tach, Inc. repaired a speedo off a '66 Police Special I owned a zillion years ago.
They may be able to help you. http://sdspeedo.com/
