Ok Guys I am thing about relocateing a little further south, can anyone give me any info on New Bern and the surronding area?? How many riders, dealers and independent shops?? Is the area motorcycle friendly etc?? Any help would be apreciated.

I bought my first harley in new bern 1998. Lots to do lots of bars bikes strippers in Jacksonville. (marine corps base) Head down to mirtyle beach for bike weak in South carolina HUGE party. there are a few good hands / mechanics in Jacksonville whole lot less than new bern HD. Alot of beach fun in the sun but expect frequent showers.

My son lives an hr. from Atlantic ocean (NC) and his home owners insurance is
three or four times what mine is in Va. Insurance co. said the county he lives in
borders the ocean!!!Just another thing to keep in mind.....He also said his auto

Good points, but I would believe it has to be cheaper than up here in NY. I will look int that.
J' actionville is a quick run just South of New Bern. I can't tell you much more than that other than there is a local stealer there and decent weather where you can almost ride all year long depending on how hard and/or equipped you are.
There are quite a few indy's in and around Jacksonville.
