Default New Ride!

I purchased a 91 FXSTS over the weekend that is in great shape. It has 12000 miles so it looks new! My question is what is recommended for maintenance after a winter storage? I'm assuming oil filter, crank, primary and trans oils. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find out the brands or weights of fluids used so any advice would be appreciated. I figure worse comes to worse I take a drive to the local dealer. Should I adjust the primary chain? Also the brakes both squeel a little and have descent amount of pad left is that just a matter of putting a few miles on them to get rid of glaze? Are there any areas on an Evo that require regular tightening that you know of? Thanks for answering the newb questions,

Congrats on the new bike ! yea, ride it a little bit and youll notice that squeal will probably go away, As far as oil, i run 50 wt valvoline with zinc in the motor, tranny fluid in the primary and 80w90 gear saver in the trans. That year evo was a good year, the only maintenance issue i would make sure is done, is make sure the stock ina cam bearing has been replaced, they will go to lunch with stock cams and ruin your new pride and joy in a hurry, other than that, enjoy it and welcome to the forums.

Speaking of that cam bearing, was it an issue on the 95 model evos also? I've got a 95 Ultra with 18,000 miles on it.

Congrats on the ride, I have an 89 springer, you'll like yours. I run 20-50 in the motor, atf in the primary, and 80-90 in the tranny. Get a genuine Harley service manual for it, it will tell you all you need to know. Wouldn't hurt to pack the wheel bearings also, check belt tension, clean plugs, air filter, put in a fuel filter, just the usual stuff. We need pictures.
