Default Where does this go?

Hi,

Can anybody identify this part? Its off a 90 Electraglide that I'm rebuilding.

I thought I'd labelled everything but no.

Help greatfully received

Paul

Yup,
That's the locking plate for your cam. It goes against the case and there should also be some shim(s). between that plate and the cam itself. A search here will tell you how to set the cam end play and gear lash up correctly.

If you don't have a parts manual you can check out this website. Lot's of good pictures.

Thanks for the info

I have a manual, the problem is I stripped the whole bike, down to the frame, to rebuild it. I did take photo's as I went.

I came to put the rear caliper on this weekend, and there is that washer in with the rear brake/axle parts.

How it got there I don't know.

Still at least I didn't just throw it away, and...... its the only part I've left out (I hope).

Cheers

Paul
