If you want to be **** about it, oil analysis will reveal how well the air and oil filter are filtering out contaminants as well as engine wear. Oil analysis does not guarantee anything, but is more like getting a routine blood test to help check for some potential problems.

 

I went 14K before my first wash & re oil. I was surprised how dirty it was. The bike ran better after cleaning so now I wash and re oil every other oil change.
