Default One push blinkers?

I've got an 88 Heritage and was wondering if there was any way to get the blinkers to work like a late-model Harley. I don't care if they're self-cancelling, I just want them to push once to turn them on and push again to turn off.

I've got a couple of mechanically shortened fingers on my right hand and its a real bitch trying to run the brake, throttle and hold the blinker button at the same time, lol.

Hand signals?

Sarcasm aside, I'll bump this up for you.
Surely there has to be a way to do what you want. An electronics guru should be able to come up with something here.

Later bikes like my 1990 have that system, plus self-cancelling. The self-cancelling part depends on input from the speedo and I have it disconnected, so I just push to turn on, then again to turn off. I can also turn them all on at the same time by pressing both buttons.

According to my parts book the turn signal canceller is 68537-89C. There are probably later ones that will be suitable. Also look at the after-market Custom Chrome etc, to see if they have an alternative.

I just looked over the wiring diagrams and it appears that you would have to rewire the whole turn signal system. Could be done but a big job.

CC-I have an 86 Heritage that has a "Badlands Illuminator Series" module installed. They are out of Nevada. It was installed a couple of years ago before I bought it. The work order from where it was installed says it was $85 at the time. Press the button and it blinks 8 times and shuts off, or you can cancel any time with another push.

on my 98 road king classic there was a wire under the tank console that hooked to the speedo cluster that I disconnected and it killed the auto cancel feature. It was years ago but I believe it was green...Not sure how that relates to your bike.

V-Twin do a unit on page 1114ish under "lights- turn signal".
"Automatic Turn Signal Shut Off Module
works on all Twins without the OEM self canceller.
Features 9 second timed flashing that
automatically cancels, can be manually canceled
at any time, built in solid state flasher,
emergency flasher mode, works with LED
lamps and includes wire diagrams and connectors.
VT No. 33-2071"

I am sure something similar is available in the CC catologue. I just have the V-Twin downloades.
Cheers

Tony
