Hello..
I have a 98' Electra Glide Classic...
I changed the brakes on it last year, I bought after market brakes, I believe Drag Specialties...
Anywho... the brakes squeal REALLY bad, if I hit the breaks really hard they would not squeal much, only during normal and light pressure.. Do you think it is just that there is to much metallic in them?? Is there another trick or should I just go with HD factory breaks??
Thanks...
I have a 98 RKC and have the same problem. I just put new pads on front and back (OEM) and they still squeal. I sprayed the backs with disc brake squeal eliminator and it helped a little but not like I wanted it to.
Those cheapass pads will squeel. Pull the pads and bevel the edges at a 45 degree angle in about 1/8 to 1/4 inches. This will quiet them down for a while. They will start whining again when the bevel wears down. I did this twice, got tired and replaced them with OEM pads. More than double the cost but it solved the problem for good.

Take it to the car wash and spray between the pad and disk and blow(wash) out the brake dust.
Don't dwell on it as you might push water between the seal and puck.
New pads shed a lot of dust on initial breakin while they are mating with the disk and the dust is usually what makes the squeel.
When I did mine I sanded the disc's lightly with emery paper to cut the glaze on them. Then sprayed them down on both sides with brake cleaner. Put a rag on the wheel especially if you have white walls. It amazing the black stuff that will wash off. I used aftermarket pads and get a squeal every once in a while.,,
