I believe that if you can use synthetic oil (meaning no leaks) you should use it. There's no doubt in my mind that it's superior to regular oil.
To the OP: If I was you I would give synth oil a try and monitor the situation. You can always go back to dino oil, but if you never give synth a shot you might be missing out on something really good.
...I run a semi synthetic. That was if it ever comes to light which oil is actually the correct or "best" oil to run in your bike, I will have been running it all along.
