Nope. I'm not a huge fan of deafening loud pipes. My SuperTrapps have 18 discs in them (max of 24), and it's a nice medium. I've had to ride behind guys with straight pipes and I couldn't take it for too many miles. Had to 'back-off' and get outta range. I wear a 'novelty' helmet in the summer months, and have never been stopped or cited because of it.
anybody getting tickets out there for loud pipes ,novelty helmets, no turn signals etc............ sucks around here!!!!
Where is around here? Have you been pinched recently? The cops in my area wait to stop you for other violations (SPEEDING) and might add stuff like that, but don't chase you down for signals, head gear or pipes.
P.S.
I'm too far away from Daytona or the Keys for their picky types.
here is suffolk county long island ... they had checkpoints for bikes at a lot of the exits on the expressway and sunrise hwy......... was in my car a few weeks back and the cops were in the middle of the highway. 2 motorcycle police waiting with their bikes running and 2 squad cars, and they were letting all the cars go but were stopping all the bikes..... i even saw bikes on the side of the reoad with no riders???? must have carted them off to jail for some reason ... but i was thinking man if that were me on the bike today i would get 3 tickets ... pipes non dot helmet and no turn signals.......
