Next weekend I'm going to look at a 92 FLHS. It has 45k miles and original owner. If we can come to an agreed price I'll get it.
Not sure if I like the riding position of a touring bike versus the Softail. Being 6'2" I enjoyed the leg room. But back posture for long rides wasn't great.
Anyone else tall/long legged switch from softail to touring? Or vise versa?
If so what ride changes did you notice?
Brett, bike looks close to stock, although the saddle looks like a Corbin (love the one we have!). I don't have the problem of being anywhere near 6 feet tall, so must leave that to others!
I'm 6'1" and have always had a bagger. Put some highway pegs and a dreiver backrest on her and 500+ a day is no problem, they dont call them "road couch's" for no reason.
Thanks. Absolutely on the hwy pegs. A little apprehensive about the mileage. But original owner settles it down a bit. If it's lifter time, I'll do a cam as well.
6ft on the nose and find my 95 road king without doubt the comfiest Harley i have had so far (and i have had a few) much better than my old softail. I have a crashbar with highway pegs that i put on for the longer journeys
