OK, replacing oil pump and removed oil filter housing and lines from my '92 heritage (front mounted oil filter). I was surprised that the oil lines just slid out of the oil filter housing. Is that normal? Doesn't seem like a great design....

 

Interesting....I would guess the bike didn't leak oil? I would have thought that they were some sort of 'press' fit.
