Default "pipes"

I am thinking of different than stock pipes for my 05 EGC. Not abnoxiously loud but a bit louder than stock. Is it just a personal preference? I have seen Rineharts and screamin' eagles on similar bikes. Are there better than other pipes?

I personally use the stock pipes on my Ultra.....because I want it to be quiet. Generally ride this bike for miles and miles....and loud pipes can become annoying after awhile. For the Low Rider....SE slipons.

I ran the V&h slip on classics on my 99 and really liked them. They are louder than the stock and the scream eagles but not real loud. I think the rienharts have a great sound too. It's to hard for anyone to tell you what has the best sound though because everyone's tastes are different. Best thing to do is listen to other bikes when your out and see what you like. Rush slip ons have a good sound to IMO but they have 3 different size baffels that you chose from and i'm not sure what size it is I like. (not much help) my bike was EFI and with just the V&H slip ons I didn't have to remap or make any adjustments.
You may get a better responce if you post this in the touring section insted of the classic evo's (pre 99) You can also do a search in that section for info, I bet there is a ton of it.,,Good luck

I'm very happy with my SuperTrapp Supermeg. Reasonably quiet and no problem over extended touring holidays (although the tourpak helps cut noise).
