Default Evo On Ice

Since I knew it would be sunny and almost 40 F, I took a mental health day on Friday. I threw on the oversize windshield and went for a ride. Got a few hours in before it got cold again. This is at Bantam Lake in Morris CT - that's not water, that's ice. Check out the people out there fishing.

The roads were clear and dry - we haven't had any snow for some time (as you can see from the snow-free ice), so that wasn't an issue. The only issue was the temperature - no matter how you are dressed, when the temps are 40 or less, sooner or later you're going to get cold. But the bike was running great and the sun was shining, so I was out for a little over three hours before I decided to head for home.

Look at that sky - I bet the temp is going to dive over night! Well done for taking a ride. I've ridden over everything in my time, including sheet ice, and survived, but I reckon I no longer need to do it these days!

Sure wasn't 68 degrees today though! (NC) Electric gloves and a little layered clothing was good for 90 miles....( today's high about 38.)

How can those guys dare walk on that ice after the mild winter you've had up there in CT?
