Is there a digital flasher available that will eliminate the need for a load equalizer for led turn signals and still allow the auto cancel to work?
I really hate the idea of creating a heater by just dumping voltage to ground through a big resistor.
I replaced my tail light with an led and it made a huge difference in the voltage drop shown on my volt meter while sitting at a stoplight with my foot on the brake. I would like to change the running lights and turn signals also.
Did the NAPA one work with the automatic turn signal cancellation?
That's a good question. I have that stock auto thingy on my bike, although I have disconnected the auto turning off (white/green wire to the speedo). However everything else works with my Badlands connected.
What bike? My bike has the old style metal thermally operated flasher units. I replaced them with a pair of Tridon EP36 3 wire flashers from Advance Autoparts, ~$14 ea. The 3rd wire is a ground. The new flashers are a bit larger but can be squeezed into the mounts, which on my bike are located next to the right fork tube at about the lower triple tree level.
