Your '86 Looks really good. Mine wasn't as well taken care of, and I bought it from the 2nd owner near Swartz Creek, first owner lived up the road from him so it's been in Sw. Creek the first 23 years of it's life. It was bought at Shiawasee Sports when out on M13. I spend a fair amount of time (& $$$$) at their new outlet in Birch Run, which is another local riding area I know all the back roads. I ride Otisville to Lapeer a lot on the back roads around the lakes.
Considering I make it over to Scooters from time to time, and spent the entire weekends at the last 3 Bikes On The Bricks we have crossed paths. I'm north of Flint, near Frankenmuth. Look forward to catching up with you. I've been looking for some other local riding buddies.
I spent Sunday afternoon in Gaines, Argentine, Fenton. Some of my favorite riding areas. I grew up riding the back roads of Linden on my 750 triple cylinder Yamaha, and a dozen old race and demolition vehicles too back in the mid 70s. Even worked on some of the big farms in the area bailing hay, cleaning stalls, tending calves, and feeding horses. Love the area from Perry to Cohoctah down to 59 across to Holly, Davisburg and the Grange Hall run between Dixie and M15 Ortonville.
You may have even attended some of my gigs. I've been a DJ Entertainer for many years, including at the old Maxies. Beside club work all over Flint and the area (Last shows were at Joe's Garage in Clio) I do private parties, mostly Wedding Receptions. I entertain using Music Videos, one of the few "DJs" in the multimedia field. Back in the 80's I was on air at WWCK, when it was rock of the 80s. And I was Entertaining for 8 years at the University Club (83 - 91) in the top, 19th floor of the Genesee Towers, the building they want to demo.
I'm curious now how old you are? Ever do a "coffee break". Back in the 70s it was popular way to meet people you talked with on CB radios, the first real social medium!
We've gotta catch up!

this is my ther ride when not on the bikes in the summer 66 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed i did a full body off restore my bro owns a body shop and we did it there last summer pic at Flushing Park
Damn I had one in red. When I got it it had been rolled. One night I ripped a rim right off the rear when I skidded off a dirt road onto pavement and popped 2nd gear. The car dropped to the ground and it was weird seeing my tire speeding down the road without me. I had to get the neighbors tractor to drag it home.
My night spots started with the Mighty Mikatam. I was at G's a lot and spent band breaks in the basement. Conto, Embers, the Light, even Churchills. My "close to home" favorite was the Good Times, which was also a local biker hangout. Used to smoke dubies inside most of those places back then!
Everyone I knew and grew up with were shop rats. I headed into Broadcasting working in the studios at WJRT and WEYI.
You can check my website www.DJJohnChristian.com see if any of those pics bring back a memory. Heck I still have 2 hour recorded shows from my regular Sunday night shift back in '85 & '86. It's real nostalgic to hear the old station promos and even some noteworthy commercials of places long gone by, like the Sons of Italy Hall and Playland North.
Give me a call at the number on my site and maybe we can grab lunch soon. Call if you want.
