I found a pretty good deal on an Electra Glide Classic that looked pretty clean. The guy selling it knocked $1K off the asking price over the phone and brought it about 80 miles to meet me half way ( a true rider and a quality dude). When I saw it in person I almost bought it but thought I should ride it. It drove out great and rode it hard on the way home, not wanting to get caught in a rainstorm on my first ride. Mother Nature smiled and gave me 2 weekends to ride it but now winter has finally hit Michigan so now I can show it the love it needs over the next few months.
I want to do things like leave the old school lights but replace the bulbs with LEDs if possible, get all the gauges working, have the radio rebuilt and get some better full range speakers. If you have any ideas on these things I would love to hear them.
Thanks traildog and blackbear. I know it was a great deal and it is because Donny the guy I bought it from knew it was my first - it was his first - and he gave it up for me. I hope to pass it on each day.
