Gday guys,
Just a new ss carb and vh pipes installed in my 98 fxd. Its crap to start in the mornings ow, most days dont even bother. Started it earlier today, and the electrics blacked out. Cactus. No idea whats going on. I have a brand new battery, new spark plugs, new leads. Just spent a fortune getting carb done, full service etc......cranky.
Any ideas? Cheers,
You need to restore your electrics first, obviously! Retrace your steps over all that new stuff. Check things like battery leads being properly tight at both ends.
Did it start fine with the new carb? Or has it not run right since you installed it? Once you have electrics you could also have a reinstall of that carb on your hands, but get the electrics sorted first.
It was a bit weird since the carb got installed. Runs like a treat once warm, but getting it warm is an issue. Took me forever to save up for this bike. Aus bike pricing is a disgrace. The suns out, summer is here, and my bie wont play the game....driving me nuts...
