My 85 FLTC had a cheap pair of staggered exhaust on it when I bought it a month ago. I got a set of true duals and finished the install this afternoon. What a difference it made.
Just to let you know those are not true duals. They have a cross over pipe connecting the left and right pipe. True duals don't have the cross over pipe.
Hey Wviceman....
What was on it, and what did you do with'em...????
It had a set of Milwaukee staggered pipes on it the ones in this pic. Also I stated true duals in my first thread and should have said stock duals...my bust.
Exhaust looks good. I ran true duels for a number of years with only a baffle. Sounded great but pretty loud. I was contemplating a new exhaust, not sure what I was going to do. I was over at a friends garage and mentioned since I was rebuilding the old *****, I was going to put something quieter on her. He said he had something I could try. He had a complete stock exhaust system someone he knew pulled off a new bagger as soon as he got it home back in 2006 or 2006 (not sure of the year, last year without oxygen sensor bungs). He said I could have it if I wanted to try it. I bought a pair of fish tail extensions that were a bolt on and they basically bolted up to my 1994 bagger. All the chrome shields, the works. Very quiet now, which is OK since I'm 58. I didn't need to add the 600 watt stereo since I can now hear it over the pipes.
