Hello from Redcar England.
Sorry to hear of this, I got made redundant about two years ago when it hit the UK.
I was working on a 200 million pound building contract that was funded by the bank of Ireland and the job folded i had worked for this construction company for 25 years.
I have bounced back by starting my own small bussiness and am clawing my way back.
Never say never and never let the bastards grind you down.
Good luck from someone who has been there and bounced back and you can to.
Regards Mike Bone.
Thanks guys, we have pretty much lost everything in this "down slide". We dont really sweat it, we've been broke before. I have retired, weve moved and we are both looking for some kind off work. It will work out in the long run, and I WILL get another bike. I just dont know when right now.
I'll check in from time to time just to keep the "scary avatar" current!
actually times ahead are looking up...at least for me,I'm a contractor and my phone started ringing about the 5th of January and hasn't stopped, right now I'm backed up for weeks on signed jobs and I havent seen things this busy since Clinton was President,I think people just got to the point that they couldn't wait any more to get things done, and around here I have seen many new homes being built so keep you head up because I really believe that this year is going to be good and it all starts with homes and construction
+1. I'm booked till October. Have a few empty days for small odds and ends, but I'm looking at a very good year. Haven't been this busy since 2007.
To the OP, sorry to hear about your ride. Hope you get another soon. Good luck.
