The difference between a hundred and a thousand is a 0.

If you really want an electric speedo you could get a tranny case for '96 and up. That is really only a coupla hundred.

I know bluharley would really enjoy your trials and tribulations.
(Not to mention all the extra tools you will need to do the job)

why not? its only money

(i seriously looked at the baker 6speed gear set....couldnt bring myself to spend $2600 on it considering all the "incidentals" that'd go alone with a complete tranny tear down)

my chain conversion will have to suffice in the mean time.

OD6 gearset with a lower first gear, Traildog shouldn't have any problems with the install with step by step directions, just a special puller needed to get the mainshaft bearing off and smooth sailing.

Bertha could be strutin her stuff @ 80 mph and just cruizing, should make the Sturgis trip this year easier on the old girl.

BAKER for the baker!
Now that is a given.
Subscribed, and Traildog, while you are installing, just remember the mantra-

I keep thinking about the DD6 with the lower 1st gear and Bakers compensating sprocket that brings 6th gear to .86.
