Easy way would be change new plugs and see what color they turn. dark tan would be good. A good ind could dial it in cheap. Personally not a fan of torque cones. Those are good pipes. 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 inside diameter pipes should work well with your engine. What diameter pipes were the pythons?? Got a pic of bike??? welcome to the forum.

I have become a great fan of tuning on a dyno in recent years on my carbed Glide. The improvement in performance can be quite something, especially if you don't know just how well tuned it was before your changes.

We have 30 or so Harley dealers over here, plus a number of Harley indys. I also get stuff from the States, especially Ebay!

As for your bike it isn't easy to say if you need to change the carb. See how it rides and if it isn't quite right then make careful adjustments, one at a time, to learn how things change. Make notes of what you do so you can go back if necessary. Alternatively find a local indy who can dial it in for you. Better to use an expert than keep chasing something round, trying to make it work right!

A trip down memory lane, mine was white with blue/red flames, chopped and very loud...wish I had a pic...it's also leaked oil....

i will have a pro check it out thanks.
If you do that then the only thing you learn is how to spend money, tuning a carb is not all that hard and your motor has not had so much work done to it that you will see a gigantic benifit. It might be different it you had a big inch aftermarket or stroked it. I'd atleast give it a try first, if it does not work out then take it in, if you succeed then you will know everything you need about the intake.

Just my .02
