I was talking to a tech at Baker Drivetrain, he said they do not reccomend the Hayden M6 tensioner and urged me to go back to the standard HD manual chain tensioner.
We were discussing the inner primary bearing failures I had experienced with the smaller bearing that Baker supplied with their early 6 into 4 transmissions.
Now ya got me wondering how they feel about the hydraulic chain tensioners.

The hayden m6 ate my primary chain so I can't recommend it either.
I think Graham like his though.

As for that hydraulic one it looks almost exactly like the ones they put in the new TC's.

I hope your new tensioner serves you well.
I may bring the subject up some time to see how it's treating you.

I kind of hope it works. As stated in the title this is an experiment.

The chain seems really tight though. Not what I am used to.

I guess the worst that can happen is that I learn how to rebuild an EVO motor as I will need to replace the crank shaft bearing.

According to that stuff scrolling across the bottom of the video you are not spelling it right.

Maybe that is why it takes you so long to say NO in Yamasuki speak!!
