Checking in and thanks for the options but still staying on path with the lowers, came up with a set of HD non-vented lowers with glove boxes for $99, bought Hogtunes glove box speaker door adapters with speaker covers for $15. Found out that the non advertised Roadglide lowers I bought are going for $150-$200 higher and going to paint them with the FLH lowers I just purchased and can recover some costs.
Since the Hogtunes adapters only hold a 5.25 speaker, spent some premium coin on speakers, would be pissed if I couldn't hear it after all the effort, should have lowers painted Friday and speakers on the way.
Should have some pictures shortly if all goes well and the daughter started showing me how to download music to the Iphone so I'm entering unexplored territory and could be a new born calf staring at a barn door comparison.

I just can't wait to see a pic of that beautiful Road King with lowers.
I used to hate them, but like a lot of things, they're growing on me and I'm considering putting a set on my Glide.

Man o man ain't that the truth. **** I used to hate is almost tolerable to me nowadays. I saw a 1998 tour-pak for sale and I'm seriously interested in looking t it. I searched for some lowers too. I guess theyre different for the road glide.
Bagger, with a good amp you can run lotsa speakers. TD is selling some.

Tee&Vee, I have a set of Road Glide lowers and they are different than FL's in mounting. Getting them ready to paint them black along with the FL's being paint white and black
Physical size is the problem with amp's on a bike, have a Fosgate under rated 75x4 amp and running 4 channels to the speakers in the lowers, the Kickers are componates with the tweeter having the abiility to mount in the center of the woofer and power the tweeter by a seperate channel. The Kickers have crossovers but can take some strain off the amp from a 2 channel setup by splitting to individual speakers.

Did some painting, 2 sets of lowers, sanded black are Roadglides and going up for sale with black and clearcoat. 2 toned for the White Bike.
Amp is squeezed in, speakers have arrived so it is going to be busy busy for a few days
The Hogtune adapters that hold the speaker covers on have special screws that didn't come with 2nd hand adapters I bought, called Hogtunes about buying some of them and they are sending some at no charge, that is a thumbs up for them

Good stuff made by Hogtunes. Nice fit on that amp install, and the lowers are looking great.
Getting closer, a few odds and ends needed plus painting the pinstrips. Hellovalotta work, the earbuds would be easier but havn't had a project in a while.
The extra coin spent on the speakers was worth it, nice clear sounding system, should be a good match for the Propipe rumble.
