What years did EVO use the big hole starter?

If you are talking about the different starter jackshaft bolt sizes, then the larger ones were used from 1989 to 1993 (HD-4325), the skinny one (HD-4358 & HD-4358) is from 1994 to 2000. Hope this helps.

the starter on my 85 fl is the same one thats on my 76 superglide.

Different style of starter, basically the same as the shovel head style.
