I didn't feel comfortable installing my own cam so U left it at the shop to do...
Mechanic is adamant that it has been fitted properly and end play is within tolerances etc. To be honest I'm not sure if he's even measured it. Communication is not that easy coz I live in Malaysia, the mechanics first language isn't English (and mine is). He's the best mechanic I know of in town too
However as soon as I get it back there's major clutch slippage and mechanic says it's a simple case of a worn clutch lining and he doesn't have items in stock.to fix
Does the slippage sound related to excessive end play?
