look in the block under the breather valve is a steel tube and in that steel tube someone has put in the plastic spine in that tube and its broken its around 2 inches long and as round as a cigarette --
use an air blower and blow from the engine vent back into the engine it will blow it out -
you need to remove it and make sure the vent hose does not have pieces as well - johnjzjz
Thank you John the other piece is wedged in the steel tube in the nose cone nothing came out of tube on block side . i do'nt see this in any parts diagram does it have to be in there ? I will bring my scope camera home from work and check the block side , the breather hose is getting replced so no worries there.
Kees how did you know about my trenchcoat I hav'nt worn that in years!
what the idea is and we use them in HP engines - First it was in the wrong steel tube MORONS -- anyway it belongs in the block and wont brake up in pieces if its in the right place
And yes i would put one in as it catches the high volume of liquid oil being sprayed into the block catch area from the cam cover and filters it out so mostly air is exhausted into the block vent - johnjzjz
