Just a few pics of the added "new" section. Unfortunately I havent been able to give it more than 1 quick coat of paint. I dont have power/heating in my garage so further paint coats will have to wait until spring.
Have added a pic. of a small bracket which the welder said came off while he was working on frame. He welded it back on but it looks bent to me.
Cant remember what fits on to the bracket.! pics. 2,3 & 4.
Bracket on r/h side near oil tank.

Looks good. I can't tell what was replaced. You should put a "before" pic up as well so we don't have to go looking.
Not sure on the bracket. Is that the bottom of the oil tank mount?
Hi Doc,Had shown "before" pics. previously but will add a few again.
The rust around the S Arm bracets were beyond repair. I managed to obtain a rear frame section (see pic5) from your side of the pond and found an excellent welder who put everything together again.
Still havent figured out bracket yet, maybe rear footrest mounting bracket.
Will investigate after New Year.
the bracket you pictured is for the battery box / rear saddelbag chrome front guard support - it attaches to above the oil tank - and yes it comes in on that sort of angle- jz
