My bike had a Kuryakyn hypercharger on it when I bought it. When I took it apart, I noticed it had a hose coming from the carb, to a splitter, with one hose going to the hypercharger to actuate the little butterfly things, and a hose going to the VOES. In theory, with the new Arlen Ness big sucker I'm putting on, I should now only need to run a hose from the carb to the VOES right? No splitter going to anything else? The Arlen Ness big sucker has no hook up to it, so this is my only conclusion...
Oh yeah... the PO drilled out the vaccum hole in the slide to 1/8th so I have to buy a new slide... and it had a 190 main jet with stage 1 and pipes. Shoot me please...
Myself I wouldn't worry about the slide. That slide modification has been on nightrider for years. You are correct on only needing to run vacuum to VOES. Let me know how it performs with new air cleaner setup. I've been on the fence on swapping out the hypercharger on my Fatboy. My slide is drilled 7/64's rather than 1/8. I'm running 45 185 jet setup with a 88 Sportster needle. My bike is stock except for air cleaner and long shots.

Even when I rode Japanese bikes I didn't like the hypercharger... they trap dirt. I will def have a report on how well the big sucker works once I get the bike back together.
Clean the 1/8 inch hole (be careful with the rubber diaphragm) with brake clean, maybe even rough up the inside of the hole, then plug the hole with JB weld.
You can either re-drill the filled hole with a 7/64 bit, or leave it plugged and drill a new hole with the 7/64 bit.
No need to buy a new slide. Put that $$ to something else. YD
I will second that. I've filled and drilled many botched slide mods over the years. No disrespect to HyperCharger users but the VOES is all you want on a single vac line from the carb. Simple is better with the timing advance. More hose and fittings is just more chance for something to go wrong.
My bike has had it on since I got it. I've just been wanting something different. The only problems I had with it was the threaded adapters would come loose in the head. I fixed that with a screaming eagle breather bar and new bolts. Keep us posted Buck.
