I have A 05 fatboy rear fender for my 94 Soft tail , fenders fits just right But there's no tab's for the wiring , All My stock wires fit right ,I 'am doing a little welding on the fender before paint ( closing the stock Tail light hole )I'am thinking of just tack welding wire tabs like the stock fender (duck tail) looking for other good ideas

 

If you are welding anyway, I'd tack some brass tubing inside the fender.

 

I often use that roof flashing that you use a heat gun on. Keeps it all safe and sound on custom guards.

 

I thought about tubing , But my stock wires are in great shape & I don't want to splice them unless It's a must DO

Aluminium strip, its got bitumen on the back and it sticks to roof joints when you apply heat. I have also used what we call down here "Tin Tape" same thing but self-adhesive, sticks like a Redneck to his sister...
