Oil drain plug for s&s evo crankcase
I have an s&s 84-91 style crankcase for an evo that i had to easy-out the drain plug. The plug that was in it was a flangeless style that uses an allen key drive. I'd like to get a magnetic one that has a hex drive head. Anyone have a recommendation or what is even the correct plug I need?
If you have the removed plug in your hands, consider taking it to NAPA.
The folks at NAPA auto parts will measure thread/pitch and length and then they will show you catalog page so you can choose.
Are you sure that was an oil or transmission drain plug?

You don't need a magnetic plug there, as it will do little if any good. They are suitable for sumps like the trans and primary, but all your engine oil gets circulated around the engine via the oil filter. Just clean it up and refit! It only serves to drain surplus oil, such as after sumping.
My thoughts exactly.
