Default EVO oil pan

I have searched high and low trying to find a freakin oil pan in my catalogs and internet. But everytime I search all I get is oil pan gaskets. My drain plug is stripped out and right now I got an 1/2 20 o.s. self tapping plug in. I'm gonna see if I can get it Heli-coiled but I'd like to price a pan also, just in case. So if anyone knows where to look I'd be obliged. Thanks, Joey BTW its for a 98 wide glide.

Have you checked with the dealers? I know that The MoCo is obsoleting some parts, but they should still have oil pans.

You can get a 1/2" drain panpiggyback repair plug at a good auto parts store. There is a smaller diameter plug tapped into the slightly oversized 1/2" self tapping plug for the pan. This works pretty good but I have had to replace the O ring supplied for the smaller plug with a crush washer.

i strpped the drain plug also..i used a one time oversize magnetic plug..but as above you have other options like the piggy back..which if you are a high mileage rider ,might make for a better installation..there is also a two times oversize plug available..
i would avoid the helicoil and replacement pan if possible...just might open yourself to possibility of leaks...
just my opinion...enjoy your ride...

thanks for the replies. I put in an oversize plug and its keeping it from leaking so far but it just has a crush washer on it and it seeps a little, but I think I'll just watch it and see if it develops any worse. I'll have to check out the piggy back plug you describe.

I stripped my oil pan almost a year ago and bought the oversized plug from the NAPA dealer. Hasn't leaked a drop. If you want the part # on the pan email me at wideglide95th@hotmail.com. I have a parts book and priced it after I stripped mine in case I needed to order one. Never had to order one though.
