while prepping for oil change on 2001 road king, I removed the wrong drain plug. This (wrong) plug is located on a pan forward of the actual oil pan. what was this pan? I let out a cap full or so of oil before I realized my mistake. Is this a concern?

it's the sump and you did no harm. Just be careful putting that plug back in because I believe it is tapered so you just have to snuggle it up with some thread sealant. Do not over tighten or you could crack the pan
