Default Primary Adjustment question

Well the more I go about putting this evo together the more I realise I do not know and help I need. So I got the primary drive back on this afternoon and can't get the chain adjusted. Even with the adjuster all the way up I still have tons of slack...is the chain wore out or am I missing something. I appreciate any help here.

You have no real info so everything is a guess - from the clutch its a 90 to 97 and it looks softail --

what i see is the front gear might be smaller than it is stock - 25 tooth front sprocket it what you should have

how many teeth does it have the front gear

The chain sure looks worn out from here.

If your front sprocket is too small you with have to get a custom chain.

Given that information I would say you need a new chain.

Got that feeling from looking at the chain. It's not the rite one. Even worn they are not that bad. Don't have a book in front of me
