Default Fork seals

It's time to change out my fork seals. They got so bad that they were spraying oil up on my tank. So while I have them apart I decided to install the stock height progressive front spring. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Oh and it's on a 99 night train

Signed on since I have never seen how you determine the sleeve bearing are worn. Never really seen a tolerance for them.

If you are talking about the sleeve bushings then it is easy to tell.
If you see copper then it is time to replace them.

They are fairly simple.
There is a good u-tube video on it.

I replace the bushings whenever I have them apart (unless I know that they have recently been replaced).

Job complete! Was pretty simple actually. I watched a video on YouTube, followed my shop manual, drank a few beers and got it done without any issues. Not a bad afternoon job
