Speedo accuracy?

Not to hijack, but the apes in your photo are ridiculous! How could you ever be comfortable with those?

The rear pulley could have been changed. What year Heritage?

Bike is a '94. I'd be surprised if the pulley had been changed, but even if it had, isnt the speedo driven off the front wheel? A pulley change shouldn't have had any effect on speedo accuracy. I am running a stock front wheel, though I do think about swapping it out in favor of a 21" or 23" in the future.

Pulley affects later bikes with the speedo driven off the trans.

My Heritage has always run 4+ since new, confirmed with a GPS and iPhone. Just never got around to fixing it.

My speedo reads 95 while keeping up with traffic on the freeway.......maybe my bike is just fast..IDK!

I've never had an import bike or Harley that wasn't off by anywhere between 4-7 mph. Motorcycle speedo's for some reason are just always off. I used a GPS to determine actual speed, and now know my RK is 4mph - 5mph fast.
