Default Very simple slip on exhaust.

Hey boys, i havent been on it awhile. Just stopped in to get some opinions on my exhaust ive made. Ive literally spent less than $20 on it. Its a 2 1/2 turn down tip, clamped to an about 9" piece of steel tube. Just slipped over my bassani header which came on my bike. My plan is to add a lolipop baffle (thinking Dk torque inserts.) Once that is done weld the joint before it turns down. Then have it powdercoated and then wrap the header with black wrap. Let me know what you guys think.

Find someone with Pipemax software to confirm the length of that collector before welding it.

i am adding a dk torque insert that should give back a decent amount of back pressure. Do you think that will be safe?

I suggest getting a cup of coffee and wiping your calendar and spend the next 3-4 hrs googling "header and exhaust design".

Prepare to be enlightened!

this is what makes America & HD great, playing with your toys.

i think you will need some "FL Baffles" in there to control the sound, and the backpressure

and get some fiberglass matting from a dirt bike store.

make videos & post them up, have fun!!

google FL BAFFLEs and images for some ideas.

yeah man im just having fun with it. My last street bob had short shots with big city thunder baffles. The bike loved it. So I figured id be pretty safe with a bassani 2-1 header and a straight tube with a turn down with a dk customs torque inserts. We will see how it goes. I actually already swapped out the turn down with a nicer chrome tip.

For sure wrap to cover it up as it looks like something you would find under some sbc truck with cherry bombs.
