Bought a set of used HD Street Cannons to replace some really obnoxious cans on my 2020 CVO 117. Much improved. These are straight through-no observable baffles or dB reducer. Slash up end caps.
Since I got them I decatted the stock head pipe, then installed and had tunes a RS468 cam.
WOW
Now I can say I don't like them much. Did they come from the factory with dB reducers or internal baffles?
I'm wondering how stock CVO cans would sound with my setup.
Suggestions solicited especially for installing dB reducers.
I had the same issue in mine. The cannons are straight through, with no real “baffle” as you would see in other pipes. After putting in a Woods 22X cam, it was way louder. The 22X is similar to the RS468 cam, but less lopey. It was obnoxious loud. Not a bad sound, just loud. There are only a couple three ways I’ve found to remedy this. You can get a set of CVO pipes on eBay. Use them stock or get the full sac kit for them stock CVO, you will notice a slight power drop, but it’s quieter. Full sac will be a bit louder but not as loud as the cannons (I used two inch baffle).third option is to buy the CVO cans from 2017 only. They are part number 64900256, and 64900257. These are a one year only CVO pipe that is straight through but much quieter than the cannons. These are what I use on daily basis beings I ride to work at 0500, and don’t wanna **** off the neighborhood. I also have a set of the fullsac pipes and use those when i want the best performance and noise isn’t a concern for the neighbors.
